The King’s Portal Venous Shunt Catheter was developed by the liver transplant team at King’s College Hospital in the UK. This drainage catheter is configured to provide correct positioning in, and drainage from, the portal vein in connection with liver transplantation.
This special angled end with the full lumen tip allows the catheter and accompanying shunt circuit to be positioned away from the operative field during the donr liver implantation procedure. MAQUET supplies the King’s Portal Venous Shunt Catheter in sizes from 24 to 36 Fr.
The KINGS PORTAL VENOUS SHUNT CATHETER has an angled basket tip and side holes with two fixation rings (shoulders) positioned 5 cm from the tip. The proximal end of the catheter fits standard connector sizes.
